According to lolcode.com, the lolcode programming language specification version 1.2 was released on July 12th. I can’t imagine this language ever being used for anything incredibly useful, but I can’t help thinking that I need to know this language just for the novelty of it.
One possible use of the language I thought of was teaching kids to program using the language. My only worry is that the misspelling of words might be a little confusing to some people (adults and kids.) I might try this language out on my little cousin and see how he does with it. He was able to learn basic Python, so I would be interested to see how he takes to this language.
The specification is available at http://lolcode.com/specs/1.2. If you’re interested in helping with the development of the language, you can check out ways you can help by visiting http://lolcode.com/news/state-of-the-lolcode.
