First of all I’ll start off by saying that this weeks Full Motion Monday has been delayed a week. I’ve found a very interesting video, but I feel like I need to do a little bit of research into it’s origins. Rest assured that it will be posted next week, and it will be worth the wait. Thanks to McGrew for showing me this video.
Second, it seems that someone has been inspired by the podcast I used to work on and is aiming to start a new underground new source on Tech’s campus. I’ll post the e-mail that I received last night.
Good evening! I understand that your time is valuable, so I will be concise.
I’m writing you to all to extend an invitation for you all to share your
experiences of West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
Through research, I’ve found that most of you have experience in campus wide news media Those of you who have experience in “underground” media are of particular interest to me. I credit you for inspiring what I
have created. Many members of the Tech community time after time express
unsatisfactory experiences with the school. These experiences float
from person to person but will probably not reach the ears of the entire student body, concerned alumni, or even members of the press who may be interested in our situation.I present Tech In Check, a webzine dedicated to the stories and
experiences, good or bad, that should be heard by the Tech community. Tech In Check strives to present unaltered experiences and opinions of students, faculty, and alumni to a wider audience by using the internet.I invite you all to submit articles, experiences, and opinion pieces to
be featured online. All submissions are licensed under the Creative
Commons Attribution-NoDerv 3.0 license, which means that articles on this webzine may be legally reproduced in other publications as long as the author of the article is credited. Using this license promotes the spread of this information, which makes for a superior campaign. The site address is http://www.techincheck.com. More information on submitting articles is also available on the site. You may pass this
information on to whoever you like. This invitation to write is open to the entire Tech community.I look forward to working with you in the future.
Sincerely,
“Eye”
Editor, Tech In Check.com
I plan to submit a story to this person in one to two days. My continued support will be determined based on his actions.
