I hate ordering a laptop from Dell. Not even a laptop that is completely compatible with Linux is worth the hassle and wait.
I hate voice recognition phone systems that are supposed to make the consumer experience more bearable.
Dell: Would you like to participate in a survey?
Kel: No.
Dell: Okay, I’ll connect you to our sales department.
Kel: Thanks.
Dell: I’ll connect you to the survey as soon as you’re finished.
Kel: WHAT?!?
I also hate this…
Dell: So, because of your check cards spending limit, you have chosen to split payment up across two days.
Kel: That’s right.
Dell: There will be some delay in your order.
Kel: Right. Like a day or so…
Dell: Actually, it’ll be about a week…
Kel: …uhhhhhh…
How long can it honestly take to stick a couple little parts into a laptop? Why on earth would paying over two days delay my order a whole week?
I ordered my laptop today. The estimated ship date is October 5th. Way to go, Dell. I should nickname you Speedy. Speedy Dell.
Seriously, that’s absurd…
